Task #1: Love's Difficulties
"The course of true love never did run smooth."
This is the second time that we're looking at this quote. Since responding to this quote a couple of weeks ago in your journal, a lot has happened in the play.
Lysander, Demetrius, Helena and Hermia have all felt the strongest emotions of love and hate; Puck has "doted" on many female fairies; Nick Bottom and Titania have shared a bed together; we've seen that Titania and Oberon's relationship needs some mending and much more!
There has been a lot of relationships in this play so far. Whew! It's been a pretty difficult task, don't you think?
To Start Off
ACTIVITY 1: Start off your paper for this task with responding to this quote (the one in the box above!) for a second time.
This time I want you to look at the picture above, also, and think about all that has happened in the play. Make sure you write at least one small paragraph and use complete sentences!
Helena
Throughout the play, Helena acts pretty funny when it comes to Demetirius. Do you know of anyone who has acted crazy when it comes to another guy or girl?

-Who in the play, would you say, has the most abusive relationship. In other words, who gets treated most poorly and still seems to keep coming back?
